Stag Power Rentals stages diesel-only generators from 20kW to 2,000kW at our Dickinson, Texas yard and delivers them nationwide, with every unit load-bank tested before it leaves the lot. That fleet has supported events, commercial properties, healthcare facilities, construction sites, and industrial operations across the Gulf Coast, planned and emergency alike, which is the same range of jobs a small coastal town on open water tends to throw at a rental fleet.
What Port O’Connor needs depends on the job — a bait camp or marina running coolers through peak fishing season has different demands than a crew rebuilding after a storm. Call 1-844-STAG-PWR or request a quote, and check our hurricane contingency power plan before the next storm season reaches the coast.
Port O’Connor sits at the mouth of Matagorda Bay near Matagorda Island, a small Calhoun County community built around sport fishing, boating, and seasonal tourism. Charter operations, marinas, and rental properties all depend on power staying on through the busiest months of the year.
The town has been rebuilt more than once after direct hits, including the 1919 storm that destroyed it and Hurricane Carla in 1961; Hurricane Harvey brought further impacts in 2017. For a community this exposed, a backup power plan isn’t optional.

Whether you are planning for an outage or have an emergency situation, we’re ready 24/7 to ship a generator that will meet your power requirements.
Port O’Connor’s exposure at the mouth of Matagorda Bay and its seasonal tourism and sport-fishing economy drive generator demand that spikes around peak season and Gulf storm activity alike. Stag Power Rentals supplies industrial and commercial diesel generators from 20kW to 2,000kW for marinas and charter docks, seasonal rental properties, bait camps and tackle shops, and storm-recovery crews throughout Port O’Connor and the surrounding Matagorda Bay area. Generators are dispatched from our Dickinson, Texas yard and delivered nationwide, sized according to connected load, startup demand, voltage, phase, and site access.
Port O’Connor’s seasonal tourism economy and its direct exposure at the mouth of Matagorda Bay create year-round demand for temporary power. For immediate assistance, call 1-844-STAG-PWR or request an industrial generator rental quote.
Port O’Connor is roughly 140 miles from our Dickinson, Texas yard, typically reached via TX-35 South through Bay City and Palacios to Port Lavaca, then SH-185 out to the point. That distance keeps Port O’Connor within regional, same-day delivery range rather than a multi-day nationwide dispatch.
Port O’Connor’s position at the entrance to Matagorda Bay has put it in the direct path of some of the Gulf Coast’s most damaging storms, including the 1919 hurricane that leveled the town and Hurricane Carla in 1961. Marinas, rental properties, and waterfront businesses should have rental power lined up before the season starts. Review our hurricane contingency power plan to plan ahead.

|---|---|
| Connected load | Sets the baseline kW a unit must sustain |
