Stag Power Rentals runs a 20kW to 2,000kW diesel fleet out of Dickinson, Texas, shipping load-bank-tested units nationwide for events, commercial properties, healthcare facilities, construction sites, and industrial operations alike, whether the job is scheduled maintenance power or an unplanned outage.
A Kenedy oilfield-support yard and a downtown retail building draw very different loads, so sizing starts with the job. Call 1-844-STAG-PWR or request a quote to get started.
Kenedy is the county seat of Karnes County, sitting inside the Eagle Ford Shale play that has driven oilfield services, trucking, and equipment-yard activity across the region since the 2010s. Ranching and row-crop agriculture remain the area’s older economic base alongside that oilfield activity. Kenedy, Texas, in Karnes County should not be confused with Kenedy County further south, where Sarita is the county seat.
Oilfield operations here run on their own schedule, well pad startup, workover jobs, and pipeline tie-ins don’t wait for a scheduled utility outage window, which keeps demand for rental power steady rather than seasonal.

| Factor | Notes |
|---|---|
| Running load | Continuous draw from pumps, compressors, and yard lighting |
| Startup load | Inrush current from motor and compressor startup |
| Voltage and phase | Three-phase for most oilfield and industrial equipment |
| Runtime | Extended-runtime jobs need larger external fuel tanks |
| Generator Size | Typical Kenedy Load | Linked Industries |
|---|---|---|
| 45kW | Small offices, retail buildings downtown | Local Businesses |
| 150kW | Equipment yards, agricultural facilities | Warehouse & Manufacturing |
| 300kW | Oilfield-support facilities, trucking terminals | Warehouse & Manufacturing |
| 600kW | Larger industrial yards, multi-building operations | Municipalities & Government |
| 1,500kW | Major well-pad or gathering-facility power needs | Warehouse & Manufacturing |
| Factor | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Rental duration | Short workover jobs vs. multi-month oilfield-support contracts |
| Fuel consumption | Continuous industrial loads burn more diesel than intermittent commercial use |
| Transport distance | Distance from our Dickinson yard to the site |
| Site access | Rural lease-road and caliche-pad conditions can affect delivery |
Generators dispatched to Kenedy typically route via I-69/US-59 through Victoria, then west on US-181 or SH-72 into Karnes County. Many oilfield and agricultural sites sit on rural lease roads rather than paved commercial lots, so we confirm road conditions and turnaround space for the delivery truck ahead of time.
Kenedy is well inland from the Gulf, so tropical-storm remnants typically arrive as heavy rain and localized flooding rather than direct hurricane impact, alongside the severe thunderstorms and hail common to South Texas. For general standby and emergency power planning, see our emergency generator rental page.
