Stag Power Rentals: Diesel Generators for Sugar Valley
Stag Power Rentals supplies
industrial and commercial diesel generators from 20kW to 2,000kW for irrigation and drainage pump support, RV resort and campground infrastructure, farm and rural-property standby, and storm-season power throughout Sugar Valley and the surrounding Matagorda County bottomlands. Generators are dispatched from our Dickinson, Texas yard and delivered nationwide, sized according to connected load, startup demand, voltage, phase, and site access.
Sugar Valley’s rural, agricultural setting creates seasonal spikes in temporary power demand — planting and harvest pump loads, storm prep, and event power at the RV resort. For immediate assistance, call

Agricultural and Rural Property Power
The bottomlands along Caney Creek that once supported Sugar Valley’s sugar mill are farmed today, and irrigation and drainage pumps on these properties are a recurring reason local operators call Stag for temporary diesel power — either to cover a pump failure mid-season or to add capacity during planting and harvest. The Sugar Valley RV Resort along TX-35 adds a second category of demand: event and infrastructure power for a campground serving Gulf Coast travelers.
Industries We Serve Near Sugar Valley
Stag supports
local businesses along the SH-35 corridor,
water districts managing drainage and irrigation infrastructure,
commercial property owners including RV parks and campgrounds, and
emergency response and disaster recovery needs after Gulf Coast storms.
Delivery Route and Site Access
Sugar Valley is reached from our Dickinson yard via US-59/I-69 and State Highway 35, the same coastal corridor that runs through
Sweeny and
Van Vleck before reaching Bay City. Because the community is dispersed farmland and rural residential property rather than a dense town center, delivery planning focuses on gate and lease-road access, field conditions after rain, and coordinating with property owners on where equipment can be staged, rather than a fixed downtown delivery window.
Hurricane Season
Sugar Valley sits in the same Gulf Coast hurricane exposure zone as Bay City and the rest of Matagorda County. Farm operations, the RV resort, and rural residences all benefit from standby power staged ahead of a storm rather than sourced after the fact. See our
hurricane contingency power plan for reserving a unit before storm season arrives.
Generator Sizes and Sizing Factors
Sizing a rental correctly means accounting for running load, motor and pump startup demand, voltage and phase, how loads will be sequenced, expected runtime, and how power will be distributed across the site.
What Drives Rental Cost
| Factor |
Why It Matters |
| Generator size and fuel burn |
Larger pumps and longer runtimes increase fuel consumption |
| Rental duration |
Seasonal pump support can run weeks; storm standby is often short notice |
| Distribution equipment |
Cables, transfer switches, and panels needed for the load |
| Site access |
Rural and lease-road conditions, and fuel truck access to dispersed farm sites |
