Stag Power Rentals runs a diesel-only fleet from 20kW to 2,000kW out of our Dickinson, Texas yard, load-bank testing every unit before delivery and shipping nationwide. That fleet has backed events and public gatherings, powered commercial buildings, kept healthcare facilities online during outages, run construction sites, and supported industrial operations through both scheduled maintenance and emergency power loss.
What a Freeport business needs from a rental generator depends heavily on the job — port and marine operations, contractor support at a manufacturing complex, and storm response each call for different setups. Where hurricanes are the driver, our hurricane contingency power plan covers it; for anything else, call 1-844-STAG-PWR or go straight to a quote request.
Freeport is a Brazoria County deepwater port city and home to one of Dow Chemical’s largest manufacturing complexes in the Western Hemisphere, alongside Port Freeport’s cargo and marine terminal operations and nearby LNG export infrastructure. The city has a long hurricane history on the open Gulf, including a direct hit in 1932, and its port, industrial, and contractor economy runs on being able to bring in temporary power fast when a storm or an outage takes the grid down. Stag’s diesel-only fleet backs up that activity without touching the natural-gas infrastructure the area itself is known for.

Looking for a 20kW-2000kW Generator Near You?
Whether you are planning for an outage or have an emergency situation, we’re ready 24/7 to ship a generator that will meet your power requirements.
Freeport’s deepwater port operations and its position beside one of the country’s largest chemical manufacturing complexes, right in Stag’s home Gulf Coast service area, drive the same generator demand we see across our home market. Stag Power Rentals ships the same diesel-only, load-bank-tested fleet — 20kW to 2,000kW — to Freeport that we deploy nationwide, sized for port, industrial-contractor, and commercial loads alike, with rapid local response given the short distance from our Dickinson yard. Confirm current availability and lead time for your location.

Stag Power Rentals supplies industrial and commercial diesel generators from 20kW to 2,000kW for port and marine terminal support, contractor work around the area’s chemical manufacturing complex, commercial properties, and hurricane response throughout Freeport and the surrounding Brazosport area. Generators are dispatched from our Dickinson, Texas yard and delivered nationwide, sized according to connected load, startup demand, voltage, phase, and site access.
Freeport’s combination of open-Gulf hurricane exposure and a port-and-industrial economy creates year-round demand for temporary power. For immediate assistance, call 1-844-STAG-PWR or request an industrial generator rental quote.
Contractor crews working port terminal projects or turnaround and expansion work near Freeport’s manufacturing complex typically need larger units sized for trailer offices, temporary lighting, and fabrication or handling equipment, with generator placement often constrained by port and plant security and access protocols.
Freeport sits directly on the open Gulf and carries a hurricane history that includes a direct 1932 landfall, so power loss here tends to arrive with storm surge and extended utility repair queues rather than a quick fix. Our hurricane contingency power plan lets businesses, contractors, and municipal facilities reserve generator capacity ahead of a storm.
| Capacity | Typical Load | Common Applications |
|---|---|---|
| 45kW | Small equipment, lighting, single-trailer sites | Local businesses |
| 150kW | Commercial building systems, multiple pieces of contractor equipment | Commercial property |
| 300kW | Port terminal support, mid-size industrial sites | Warehouse and manufacturing |
| 600kW | Continuous industrial process loads | Warehouse and manufacturing |
| 1,500kW | Full-facility hurricane response, major turnaround support | Emergency response & disaster recovery |
| Factor | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Running vs. startup load | Pump, crane, and motor startup loads at port and industrial sites often exceed running load |
| Voltage and phase | Port and industrial equipment configurations vary and determine the right unit |
| Runtime and fuel plan | Multi-day hurricane response often calls for an external fuel tank |
| Site access and security | Port and plant access protocols affect delivery scheduling and placement |
| Rental duration | Longer terms lower the effective daily rate |
